JEWELLERY CARE
Repair Warranty
All our bracelets are covered by our standard six month repair warranty to cover any manufacturing defects at no cost to the customer. If your beaded bracelet has broken after the six month timeframe or you'd like us to restring it or change the size, repair costs are £7 per bracelet. This payment covers labour of restringing, but additional beads. Please me aware additional beads is set at a reasonable limit before extra costs are occurred.
Although we expect our bracelets to last much longer then 6 months beaded bracelets may require re stringing after 1-2 years due to wear & tear on the elastic they are strung on, this is not a manufacturing fault, it is expected wear & tear for the stringing material used.
Ellary only uses .925 Sterling Silver and Gold Filled Jewellery. Sterling silver is a precious metal and may require an occasional clean. With proper care, your silver will retain its beauty and shine.
Care of Sterling Silver
Firstly sterling silver that is worn regularly typically needs less care. Although we all have different body chemistries, in general, the oil from your skin acts to protect silver from tarnishing.
Using a soft silver polishing cloth, gently rub the silver. This will remove the tarnish and dullness, keeping your sterling silver like new.

Gold Filled Jewellery
Gold filled jewellery is a fantastic way to introduce gold into your jewellery collection.
1. What is Gold filled?
Gold filled (also known as rolled gold) comprises of a solid brass (copper and zinc) core over which gold is mechanically bonded using heat and pressure. Gold filled items must contain, by law, 5% or 1/20 of gold by weight. The gold used is generally 12K or 14K. If taken care of, it can last as long as solid gold and won’t tarnish or rub off.
2. What is the difference between Gold filled and Gold plate?
The difference between gold filled and gold plated items is the amount of gold used over the brass core. Gold filled items must contain, by law, 5% or 1/20 of gold by weight. In contrast gold plated items usually contain a microscopic (0.05% or less) amount of gold. Meaning the gold layer on gold plated items can peel or flake very easily exposing the brass core underneath. Because the gold layer on gold filled items is so much thicker it will not peel or flake and lasts for years.
3. What is Gold vermeil?
Gold vermeil is similar to gold plated jewellery, but the difference is that the layer of gold is thicker. Gold vermeil will last longer than gold plated jewellery, but can still tarnish when exposed to water or perfume, or the gold may eventually scratch and rub off with wear.
Caring for Gold filled jewellery
Gold filled jewellery can easily be cleaned with a bowl of warm water and fairy liquid. Ensuring you dry your jewellery throughly with soft cloth. Well cared for Gold Filled Jewellery will last a life time.
